Mr. Igor Anatolyevich KHOVAEV
Born in 1962.
Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1988 and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in 1995.
Joined the diplomatic service in 1988. Worked in the Consulate General in Vungtau, Vietnam (1988-1992), two International Missions in the former Yugoslavia (ICFY Mission to Serbia and Montenegro – 1996 and OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina – 1997-1998), and the Embassy to Turkey (1999-2003).
2005-2010 – Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Russia to Vietnam.
2010-2015 – Deputy Director, Third Asian Department, MFA of Russia.
Designated as the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Philippines by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 107 of March 2, 2015.
Diplomatic rank – Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary, I Class.
Fluent in English, French and Vietnamese.
Married, with an adult daughter.
